A Note from the Artist...

The Tree of Life means new life and a new beginning. We as individuals seem to go around in circle and never seem to find a way out .  How often has it been that you are travelling and then your GPS tells you to turn left and all there is paddocks and no road.

When I started to paint the tree of life, the thing I did was draw it this was followed by the glue, as I was working the lines especially the roots not one was straight they all went in different directions they had some bumps from the glue , the paint was the next this made the bumps a lot more prominent. Next step was the the trunk this definitely had a few bumps in it , reminding me that as we search for answers the path are always rough and we don’t always travel in the direction that we should go.

Then we come to the branches these are interesting because some are straight some are short and some are fat and then we see the skinny ones. Our faith grows as we learn from the word of God . Our relationship starts when we acknowledge that Jesus died for our sins. Then we need to accept him into our lives ask him to forgive us and this way we can develop a lasting relationship.

Then two years ago all the bumpy tracks and different branches gave me a wake up call I recommitted my life to Him and found the right road this has led me a wonderful peace and more over a wonderful relationship with my heavenly father. Because I spend time in a wheelchair because of my disabilities (I have limited mobility) I was re enrolled as a senior soldier last year and my life hasn’t been the same.

I witness to people about how good my life has been since I accepted Christ as a personal saviour. I was asked by a friend how can you believe in something that you cannot see. How can you not believe look around you look how big the world is the beauty all around us stand on the beach and feel the sea air. This is incredible all this done by a God who loves us friends that have known me remark the change in me,

I remember a couple of lines of footprints in the sand how walking with Jesus there were always two set of footprints but on my bad days there is only one Jesus says that was the time that he carried me.It is amazing how people see a piece of art and have their way of interpreting it and then others see it totally different

To me the tree of life is truly a new life for me,
