A Note from the Artist...

I spent many hours crying over this piece - tears of frustration and tears of joy. I equally loved and felt scared by this piece. I read about angels all my life, the fear that they struck into the hearts of blinded followers and the beauty of large choirs singing praise to God. As I painted, I couldn’t help but feel so much as they have felt for millennia. In this painting, I stroked with great precision, I scribbled with passion and I sang with joy - all that the Lord would require of me.
