CREATIVE WRITING
CREATIVE WRITING
Children are welcome to write their own stories, scripts and poetry. The sites referenced below can help you support your child in this adventure!

Parents, if you or your child finds another piece that they really want to use, it is important that you contact Worship Arts ASAP so we can confirm its suitability and its copyright status. The last thing we would want is for our young performers to put their heart and soul into a piece that we are then unable to broadcast/publish for the Showcase

STOP MOTION
STOP MOTION
How do I create a Stop Motion Story?

The Stop Motion App is great for doing this! Available FREE for both iPhone and Android platforms – kids, make sure you get your parent to download and set up for you:

https://apps.apple.com/au/app/stop-motion-studio/id441651297

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cateater.stopmotionstudio&hl=en_AU

You can also check out this list of recommended apps - some free, some paid and some suited for older/younger users

https://www.mykidstime.com/things-to-do/10-handiest-apps-stop-motion-animation/

What if I need help with doing this?

  • As a rule of thumb, a 30 second Stop Motion might use up to 300 individual shots. Using a good app makes this much easier than you might think to set up and create.

  • You can also reach out to the Worship Arts team and other tech-experienced people in your corps.

What should I put in my Stop Motion Story?
  • Whatever you think tells the story well! You can use clay figures, action figures, puppets or similar, you can use letters (like Scrabble tiles or blocks) or pictures that you draw.

Use your imagination for how you can use your words!
