REIMAGINING WORSHIP: HEART & PURPOSE
A gathering for creative Salvos! No matter what your craft, our prayer is that this experience will provide you with encouragement, inspiration and extension of your God given abilities. Let’s meet together, celebrate what God is doing and assist each other in enabling God's Kingdom to come.
This event is open to all ages, but highly recommended for 18 years old and above.
LIMITED PLACES AVAILABLE:
Due to the continually changing COVID situation, registrations will be initially capped to comply with restricted capacities. Registrations received beyond our capacity limit will be notified and placed on a waiting list. Should increased limits be available closer to the event, registration will be expanded.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER /
MAJOR MATT REEVE
Major Matt Reeve is a Salvation Army officer. Over 20 years, Matt has served in Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales and is currently appointed as Head of the Mission Support Department.
A signwriter by trade, Matt loves art and design. In other creative arts ministry, he has served as a Songster Leader, past member of the Melbourne Staff Songsters, is the Executive Officer for the Australia Territory Youth Band and serves on his local Corps worship team.
Matt is passionate about all expressions of ministry finding a way
to share the redeeming love of God with a broken world.

SESSION A: Saturday, 11 am - 12.30 pm
Unified Worship - Part 1
We’re better together – yet it’s not always easy to get our various sections and teams working effectively in combination. This session is for all musicians and vocalists, exploring the art of unified worship and strategies to maximise your musical forces. It will include opportunity to work together on repertoire for the final gathered worship session.

Online Engagement - making it happen
Systems and software, tech tricks, and building a top team – explore the basics of effective streaming. Get the best out of what you have available, and discover how to prepare the key production elements required for a smooth running online experience.

Creative design
If you love welcoming, warm and creative spaces that promote community and connection with God, this is for you. Explore ways that décor, creative venue planning, props and staging can be used to enhance gathered worship experiences.

Worship in the Bible
What does the Bible say about worship? How is God’s creativity revealed in Scripture? This session unpacks different practices and attitudes connected to ‘worship’ and helps deepen our understanding of God the Creator.
SESSION B: Saturday, 2 pm - 3.30 pm

Leading In Worship
Explore the basics of leading others in worship, from song choice and planning the worship journey, working with your team and adapting to different contexts (small group, special events and online).

First steps to Finding Your Fit
Want to help out at church and not sure where to start? Or do you have people keen to serve, who need skill and confidence building? This session explores ways to help others discover their gifting and plan a pathway toward meaningful contribution to ministry
Online Engagement - platforms to people
Can church online engagement be more than just watching online - is it possible? This workshop explores ways to interact with your online community through social media and networking platforms.
Creative Holy Habits
Want to develop healthy spiritual habits? Explore a variety of creative Spiritual Disciplines to inspire and stretch your devotional practices. Discover and rediscover exciting ways to connect with God.
Worship Arts Resources & Support
Everyone wants great resources! The Worship Arts team is here to help you find them. This session unpacks the variety of ways our team wants to support you, including an overview of our new website which host our collection of resources, publications, aids for worship, articles and information. There are also links to other helpful ministry tools and sites.
SESSION C: Saturday, 4 pm - 5.30 pm
Unified Worship - Part 2
This practical session starts as a series of 3 break outs for Music Team / Brass / Vocal, with a concluding combined activity. Each break out will explore current ministry challenges, potential ministry opportunities and practical coaching for both specialized and combined contexts.

Discover creative worship in the everyday, and find ways to connect with the community around you. This session explores alternatives to 'Sunday church' and models for community engagement.

Creative Words
Creative writing can be a powerful vehicle for ministry, from spoken word to monologues and narrative sermons. Learn how to spark inspiration and develop your ideas and ways you can present your writing.
